exactly...about 5k and they are done...then with all the work needed to get them up beyond that, better off buying a aftermarket and roll on..

Tested the hardin 1300 throttle body and flame arrestor on my warmed over 525 pickup maybe 10hp 10 tq ,i have not modified the intake yet to match the bigger throttle body not expected miracles but won't hurt,still fine tuning the ecm

Mark rinda tested my modded 500 intake and huge throttle body from TPIS a few months ago, didnt see any real gains BUT we think he was outbof cam at 620ish hp. The motors he dynoed already had azsm tbs, i sent him a stock tb to try, motor lost 10 hp at 620 hp level so it was worth a solid 10 hp at that level, plenum was blended, had dart heads i think. The throttle body plus real tuning will give you a gain, after that the tiny tunners at 15.5" long are next restriction. Im just about done w dynoing the open plenum intake on my 548, soon i will bolt on a stock 500 intake then add modded pieces one at a time

MDG,

Did your peak torque range move at all, 3600-4200rpm range?
My peaks were 4000rpm- 640ft/lbs
5400rpm- 585hp

Do you know what flame arrestors he was running on the 620hp engines? I just picked up a used 525 flame arrestor which I messaged you about. I do recall your results from your past thread testing FAs from your mpi build. Following your 548 thread now!!

As far as i know he used 525 efi flame arrestors, clamping a 500 efi fa on my 560hp 502 cost measurable hp, i dont remember what it was but i want to say 18 or 22 at that hp level
