That's it. Look at the o ring area. If you drill it out. It will take out the o ring

Yes. I was about to do that. The way it is cast. You run the drill bit through. It will take out the o ring. I'm just going bore/drill it out just before the angle of the casting.

That's what I meant. The filter adapter base o-ring gets in the way. If it wasn't. It would have been done.

So, it looks if anyone wants a bigger line size they will have to get an aftermarket filter base.
