Adding a bigger cam has been in the back of my mind. I may if I can get the time to get the other engine out. I really need to get this new project wrapped up, I need to get the boat down to Valako soon so I can have him make the new tail pipes. There was a guy on here this winter that had a pair of 509's set up almost the same, except with stock pro 1's, 651 cam and 1050 dominator and he was making over 700 hp. He sent me the dyno sheets and it had a great power band. I really think the 1050 Dominator is a good carb with this engine. I like experimenting with things so we will see how it pans out.

Those engines always sounded nasty in Tinkerer's old scarab. They just had that "IT" sound. lol

If you're making these, I wouldn't mind trying a pair like you have pictured. I was about ready to pull the trigger on a pair of Victors. What is Jim's opinion of the spacer, did he help you design it?

Yes, Jim supplied the original clayed up adapter that I derived the CAD from.

Any interest in making 2 more? Can they be run, or are they just for modeling purposes?

They should be able to be run, I'm going to run them. I need to run them first, also some are going out to engine builders for dyno testing. What color would you like?

running the adapters(once matched to the flange works very well, a lot of drag racers swear by this and run them this way over a dominator intake, all has to do with the signal the carb see's from the engine

The orange looks cool, either orange or black. I'm running large oval air cleaners so I don't think they'll even be visible.

That's the general consensus I've come up with too. Even when I talked with Dart, they suggested to run the spacer. To bad they didn't make their adaptor to fit their intake better. If I can run one of Jason's adaptors, i'm going to give it a shot.

That's very cool. What material is that it made it out of?

The orange spacer is PETG, rigid with a decent heat deflection temperature. I have a structural reinforced high heat deflection poly-amide alloy blend coming this week.
