Default Mercruiser wiring harness

Ok just redid my 23 daytona don't want to just the ugly engine harness,but will keep merc harness in boat ,ill cut off plug and run new wires ,eliminating some unessecary crap.also hooking up a one wire alternator,anybody c any problems ????

We did a similar process but just bought a new wiring harness from Mercury. Also ran about 10 extra wires for misc additions. Put all the wiring in the black coragated flex tubing. This was the outcome.
