I could shake the lifters and make pins fall out of 4 or 5 of them on the 500 hr motor

ours are done...just trying to pass my lessons learned to the next guy. I'd also skip out on morel lifters. Just my 0.02.

haven't seen that in a few yrs,,I'd say there were some problems w/ pins a few yrs back.could have that happen in 25hrs or less.scary times.

I had some pins loose also when i refreshed mines... lots more hours, and one of the cam suffered from this

Just did 2 500 EFI for a customer. Lots of gremlins waiting for you if you dont do it right the first time. PM me for a build sheet if you like.

Still have the factory wire ties on engines. Hooked scanner to engines, 510 hrs. I'm on a ticking bomb. So yes please send me build sheets.

I had my 500 EFIs rebuilt at 526 hours because I waited to long an burnt across the fire ring so it cost me extra for a new block and a new head. So with that your big issue is going to be injectors the Multecs are junk. (check my past posts). You have to replace Valves, rockers, lifters, pistons,rings, bearings,oil pumps etc. Inspect your crank and cam you might be ok. you can get everything that you need to do both motors at Summit all for about $6000. rebuild to stock, retune your computers to new Bosch injectors. Call Jason at MDG Performance in Edgewater Md. He can set you up with the injectors and a program. Mine are just getting to there first full year and it runs great.

what holds the pins in anyway? Essentially peen-riveted?
