No not running a whirl away
The casale/Hallcraft drop box is fixed drive between crash gearbox (F,N,R) to step up from the Arneson Drive coming through transom.
This boat as far as I can make out is levi designed hull, and previously was offshore ski boat racing in Nth Queensland Australia, with large outboard.
It was then purchased and previous owner who had outboard business, and wanted to convert it to stern drive. I purchased it after it was sitting for 6 yrs, and started to rebuild stringers (which were rotten in rear 6 ft), and replaced transom to suit the surface drive. Basically I started with clean sheet paper, hull up
Im travelling at present in Phils on holiday so tried to get into my google pictures, but locked out, might have to wait until I get home end of week. Here is the boat as picked up, and in Jan/17 lifted it on to dolly to do the surgery.
I put first flocote on floors and front part of deck. As need to make engine mounts, and then can finish the glass the floor over inner stringer, and seal up finish flocote
The plan is too throw it in the drink over christmas break and see if any holes/leaks, then finish the engineering side, figure out where to put fuel tanks, and seats ( a little short on room for rear seat), nothing standard in this boat, so need some intelligent suggestions
Ill update the pics in weekend
cheers Brett

I don't know, dude. I think it'll be a little underpowered. actually about 30 years ago, this car parts store across from where I worked had a 21 with either an arnie or kaama drive. they said it had a tendency to try to push the nose down into the water at 70 mph or so.

Derek
yes I had heard this
however when I read the Arneson Tech data on how to setup transom
i was sure to follow correctly
the Arneson is Trimable andvif needed I have a pair of
19” k-planes if they are needed
the front of engine is approx sitting at < 22% of the length
i just need right think about where to place the fuel tanks
as was hoping to run at least 50 gallons
