i agree. Especially after hearing about some of the cylinder to cylinder air fuel ratios with the single plane edelbrock victors. Articfriends was seeing some cylinders in the 10s, and some in the 13s with an o2 in each cylinder on the dyno.

Just ran across a 572 with worked over brodix 3's worked over by Darwin Morgan. 11.5:1 comp with a 284/298-851/851 with ported super victor with a 1200 pro systems on top. 959@7,200 and torque was 771@5,600.

Not same build by any means however Just posting for chits and grins. Just notice less cubes and more cam? I'm still thinking and hoping the best for you.

Heads

Brodix 3x heads and the are 2 different ball games. No comparison is far as how they run and if I'm not mistaken Darren help design that head. Every body keeps talking about the cam shaft but no body is taking in consideration of the wheel diameter on the lifter. A very similar combo has been built buy another engine for a durrance application. And made well over 1000.

I know brad a Reher very well. I know his brother help design that head. I just messaged Brad to see what he thought that combo would make

Ya kinda mentioned different builds but ya the 24 deg heads have their limitations however still capable of making a ton of power. The brodix ones I mentioned in above post were the 380cc xtra I'm pretty certain. Would have to check regardless their no slouches by any means and worked well with 572 build. I personally been a Dart guy for years right up til current builds. We're all curious on your outcome.

Again not comparing builds or heads or anything. I just don't have much or any experience with your heads/cam combo. I'll run it by my head and engine guy and see what his thoughts are. Mean while keep up the good work.

Did you have to cut the distributer pad down more to get the engagement rite and move the hole??

Distributor

Yes and to cut it down some even though we have a slip collar.

If I'm not mistaken, I notice in both this and BUPs 665 build you're both doing Jesel belt drives. With the +600 raised cam there's also a gear and chain option, both have covers, do you just prefer belts? I'm doing an EFI 665 screw build for a toy truck (unstressed reliable 1200hp) on Canadian pump 94, these two threads have been the best hour I've spent in ages. As these larger combos aren't made to spin above 5900-6200 and you go EFI wouldn't it be easier to run the capped Holley dual sync dist than a crank trigger?
