Was looking at the duration of camshaft that's why I said 6400 for peek hp Think camshaft will hold back on some power. Friend Just ran a 648ci with cast sr20 284/296 think 850 lift peeked 6700 1015hp 10.5 to 1

Im thinking somewhere in the 900-950HP range, peaking in the mid 6000's. Single cat, if I recall, this was gonna be around 11.7:1 to 1 compression, and were you going to be running race gas? |

285 int @.050 would be my best gues to peak at 7k +/-. The runner volume with that cam will be interesting. It's a difficult one to guess as I have no experience with those heads other than like others mentioned a little light on duration. More lift would help also but... I know we typically try and achieve max flow with an adequate runner size for said CI and max rpm. Will the port velocity be a little lazy? Regardless it's a cool build. If the numbers are good at the 6,500/6,600 range that will be a bonus. If a cam swap is in order to optimize build then so be it. Hope all works out well and runs strong. |
Build
As a lot of you all ready know there is a lot more to rpm then just the cam shaft. There is multiple things that make that happen. There is also some things that have been done to achieve the power we are looking for that are not going to be given away. If it makes the peak power we are looking for at 6400 to 6700 that's even better but Don t think that's going to happen. There is a lot of things that computer programs will not tell you (:(: . There are going to make well over 950hp and most likely are going to be in the 4 digits.
