Actually on the tight side. I could be anything. Maybe all boats do it. That is the problem and why at this point I need to see someone else's boat data log to compare.

what do you mean your engine is very noisy @ what rpm, and you run the valve train on the tight side, what cam and lifters are in it.

I mean noisy versus other boats/vehicles running Holley with knock sensors. Default Holley sensitivity setting is 50% for my type application where in normal non detonation engine drive train noise "knock levels" recorded by the Holley should be below 80%. Above 80% knock level the Holley is programed to consider that as detonation and its ESC spark control knock function will be activated. I have to run 35% sensitivity to keep knock levels below 80% during normal operation. But even at 35% sensitivity I can get 100% knock levels coming off plane at 2500 rpm and below as previously posted data log shows. The core reason for my interest in seeing Holley data logs of other boats coming off plane is to see if they have any similar knock level spike only during that operation.

Stock GM roller lifters for 8.1L Gen7, Scorpion 1.8 Marine Endurance intake & Crane Blue Race 1.7 exhaust roller rockers. Cam is a custom for my engine made by Cammotion.
