Your links are broken and don't work for me except the Lunati link.

Edit, I figured them out. Are these comparable billet cams? They seem a little large.

I tried finding options that were somewhat close to the crane...maybe that's why crane is so expensive?? I assumed all these reputable companies would be close as far as quality but maybe not??

I'm building mine kind of same situation, planning on bolting on a 6V-71 in a year or two so building for more power shortly then the road.

I've looked at comp, isky, crane, and I'm thinking Lunati. Haxby recommended 3 of there blower cams I'm considering, you might want to look at them. They are 20110669, 20110670, & 20110671

Specs:
20110669: ADV: 293/303 @.5 -234/244 629/612 -114*LSA
20110670: ADV: 297/307 @.5 -238/248 640/629 -114*LSA
20110671: ADV: 301/311 @.5 -242/252 640/629 -114*LSA

I'm looking a # 20110669 with a steel billet core and a ever-wear gear, they consider the steel billet core & upgraded gear a "Custom grind" and it's $468

Assuming you have a MK IV (1965-1996); as you seem a bit concerned about price; you can have the cam below for $100 shipped. If you need the roller lifters, they would be $150.

Comp Cams 290HR
11-450-8 - Magnum? Retro-Fit Hydraulic Roller Camshafts

Video - not my engine, but the same cam in a 496 on the dyno;
