Default Chineese aluminum heads

Found these on eBay for $500
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-396-4...25.m3641.l6368

Looks like they might coming from Steven performance cylinder head

How do they stack up to Brodix dragon Slayer 320 or engine quest $320?

Get what ya pay for, some guys have had luck after completely changing them around, but to me after doing research with the lighter castings the seats can fall out, I would not do these heads on a marine engine.. or ever buy assembled for a marine engine...

as bad as the spelling and grammar is I would be worried about their ability to read a mic when assembling them. but hey, they incoperate three angle valves for better midium lift!

The biggest issue with the import heads is the material. Most all of your big name head companies (Brodix, Dart, AFR, etc.) all use virgin aluminum. The imports to not. Although aluminum can be recycled indefinitely, it appears that they can't control the alloy as well. So, the castings do not have the durability, corrosion protection, etc, that you get from a virgin head. I've torn into engines with Pro Comp heads that only had a few runs on them. The deck surface was already getting eaten up, and they had been only in fresh water. I refused to put them back on and we ended up replacing them.

As mentioned, you get what you pay for. If you are interested in Brodix heads, give me a shout. I'm WD with Brodix and pretty much only use their heads, unless the customer already has something else.
