You took it out already? What's up? How did it go? Any more information? How much boost? What type of RPMs? What speeds? Where did you go anyway? I bet it was a little chilly huh? I like your stereo work and the location of your speakers....looks pretty trick! More details man!!!!!!!!:D :D :D

Couldn't wait, took it out on Wed. It was chilly 65-70 deg. Just went down to the rock river for an hour or 2. The motor was the same as last year 7psi boost 58-5900 rpm 28" bravo 1prop 1.5 gears in the lower. Went 92.8 with a full tank of gas and just me and 91.6 with my wife and brother in it. The acceleration is awesome. now I need tomcats intercooler and my 29 mirage! Stereo thumps! Its great. I didn't use the big beast amp but i don't think the speakers will take it anyway. Couple of oil leaks to fix. Then I'm going to sharpen the bottom for couple more mph. Greg

Glad to hear that the boat ran well! That is FAST for a 25' V-bottom that's for sure. I'm not real familiar with supercharged motors but isn't 5900rpm pretty high? Sounds like with a little tweaking and a little less gas that you might be at 95+ very soon!!! Are you having D&S do the bottom? Speaking of D&S I saw that you had your boat there without the trailer. What do you think the odds are that they can keep my boat there for a few days while I have the trailer repainted? I'm having a hell of a time finding anyone with dry stack storage for a few days. We should try to meet up sometime early this year!!! (and no, I'm not going to race you!)

By the way, where did you get that welding cable for your battery wires? I need a bit of that myself and it looks pretty nice!!! I need to make a couple long leads to my battery selector switch and that would be the perfect size!

27, yes its that low. Thats how the boat was built. It sounds like a ski boat at idle. I dont want any tickets anyway, altough Id rather hear a lope at idle.

yes id like to get that 5900 down hopefully with that 29 mirage. I may have to go to a 30 or 31 bravo to get to 5000. The truth is that i dont run at that rpm long and the acceleration is awesome which makes it easier to win! They say that lower pitch is easier on the drives. I've also heard that above the 29" the props are less effiecent? As far as D &S goes they might do something especially over the weekend. I got the welding cable at the Hot Rod shop for $2 a foot. He has the ends too. Ask for Stan 227-5424. I swedged them and soldered them. Greg

Great job on the project ..seat bases look way better than them upholstered boxes.. Im having a little anxiety about my boat project as its going slowly and ive already paid for a dock for the summer ..The welding cable battery lead thing seems to be a popular idea although you realy should use tinned copper in a boat for longevity especialy in salt water enviro. Bare copper corrodes very quickly whaen damp although soldering the ends and adhesive lined shrink tube should slow it down .."Jesus im anal" 90's in a 25 vee ..thats cookin..

The whole Cig aura is growing on me! I'm just learning about them and if I ever go up they will be on my list at the top. They have a "mystique" about them no pun intended! The key is to have fun, some of my fun is just in the garage "therapy" not common sense, plain fun would be cheaper.

Hey Greg - I just read this thread all the way through. When you started I hadn't paid the fee to view the attachments so I didn't follow it. You did an excellent job on everything and the performance is scary! I will have pictures of the Rtech Supercooler to show you in about a week.
