I played with stats, drilled all sorts of holes, different restrictor plates, etc. finally gave up and just went back to not running stats. I'm happy - I know I get a good flush.

They have special housings that keep bypass water off the stat so I think doesn't flutter if you go that route but I'd just trash the stats and go enjoy life.....
