I do this more with exhaust ports vs exhaust header/manifold. You'd be surprised what you find. This is a bigger hurt on power than intake mismatch. Sometime Yuge.

If not sure what I'm saying use that as search terms and you'll find some old guy doing it this way.
Actually you reminded me the AFR heads are designed for cars and the exhaust ports have a hook in the top of the port that will really mess with the flow into an upturned exhaust. I removed the hook on mine when I ported the heads.

Yes, good call and exhaust manifold/header flanges blocking some of the port on various engines/head/exhaust combos.

People check intake mismatch and not exhaust, but exhaust mismatch, again if even slight blockage if head’s exhaust port, can cause some pretty serious power reduction.
