I run the 5.5 X 4.5 Performance inserts in my dry pipes in 525SC's I have seen no power drop. I would not say they are not legal quiet but close. I don't get any harassment by the DB Police at all. Big fan.

Yes. They work amazingly well. Video I took, My 33 Outlaw, 502 mags, open exhaust. 31 scarab 500 HP's with CMI headers and GGB inserts. You be the judge.

I just took mine out....LOL.
How do these, help reversion? Seems like a restriction would make it worse. Not arguing, I just want to learn.
Boat does sound better with them out at idle, has not been on the lake yet with them out.

Bulitz, what issue are you trying to solve? Water backing up your dry pipes with no flappers?

The problem came up because I did dry exhaust and water exits last inch of the tail pipes . Now SS marine suggest it that I go full dry with water exit from another outlet and never meet exhaust .
Since the tailpipes are about 2-3 inch from the waterline I was thinking adding rubber flappers and the back plus these inserts so that water coming in will hit the rings before going all the way up to the raisers.
What you think ? I think it helps slowing waves from entering aggressively in the tips

I bought a set for my full dry exhaust to take some of the bark out and they work great. I bought the 8" ones and cut 2 rings off to get the desired sound so now have 3 rings on them.
Problem is my water exits under the tail pipe outside the boat and I put an 1/8" piss hole in end of dry tail to try and keep rubber flappers wet so they didn't burn up and they still started to curl some.
So I bit the bullet and put Hardins expensive ass stainless external flappers on and they actually changed the sound waves as well and I took the inserts out for now but still have them just in case I need them down the road.
