10-71 fitment??

looking for some help. Will littefield 10-71 blowers clear the distributor on my tall deck 572’s without an intercooler? Also any ideas on real world parasitic loss on these bad boys?

Shouldn`t be a problem.
As far as loss , who cares. (not as much as you hear)
You`ll more then make up for any loss. :D

Aww, the ol ground strap on the sender trick, not seen that before but makes sense......enables you to use thread sealant without the chance of false readings @ the gauge

Actually it`s a 4psi warning switch for fuel pressure. Wouldn`t work at all without that ground strap. When the switch closes it completes a circuit via ground (negative)
But a good ground is also important with senders no doubt

Are these Littlefields in the pictures?

Bds

Clearance of blower and distributor is mainly determined by intake stud locations. Each manufacture has them in a little different location. If memory is correct, BDS has studs located a little further forward than most.

Did you decide to go with 10-71s instead of Prochargers? Mama won’t be able to sun herself on the sundeck...lol

Rob
I may have to stop up there and see what you are doing. I have been thinking on adding a power adder to my engine also.
Unless I can mount the M4 low or front mount it I will probably install a standard blower.

Stop in any time tinkerer! I am just putting the finishing touches on my shop so I can work in there year round warm, dry and bright. I have wanted to to go boosted for the last three years and keep going back and forth between procharges, roots, and 3.3 carb whipples. Deep down I think whipples are the best choice but they are spendy and almost never come up used.... I already have scoops on the sun deck but still won’t clear a roots with chillers. Thinking I may buy one whipple setup, dyno and reinstall, and then save some more money and hopefully by spring duplicate the first motor and be ready for boating come May! Switching to e85 so I will have some additional costs into making some fuel system changes and converting carbs over.
