Default 311 Bravo x dimension

Does anyone have the x dimension for a Formula 311 with bravo drives? Or I would take a vertical dimension from the bottom of the transom assembly if someone has access to a boat.

My SR-1 292 which is basically the same boat, the prop shaft was 7" below the hull. I ended up running its boxes with -3 IMCO's. Getting it to plane off with bravo 4 blades took a little work, but once up, it ran well. I think a great set up on a budget would be to run -2 IMCOs without any boxes.

Thanks for the information. I am replacing the transom so figured I should just swap over to bravo drives. I have struggled finding a good starting point with any other forums. Especially Facebook pages.

7" is too deep, I would put them at 6" or 5 1/2", 5" without boxes may work, but I'm confident you would have no issues getting on plane at 5.5" with bravo props.

Go high like endeavor32 says, maybe even 4 to 4.5” above the bottom, or 17.875” to 17.375” X-dimension. You can ad spacers to standard bravo lowers. Bigger tabs also help planning too.

Lol yea you got it. Build the transom up so its like a wall in the back you have to climb over.

No, not above, 4-4.5 below the bottom. My mis-type.
