I nearly worded it the same as you regarding not giving two chits or thinking twice while in the boat. You'll be fine and look forward to coming down. Not on FB. One thing I tend to stay away from. Looking forward to selling out so I have more time for this never ending hobby. Can't wait to see that monster on the dyno and listen to it grunt. Back in the day we'd spend late nights out there. Some before they had to muffle outside. Talk about some wicked sounding pulls. I'll pm you my ph number.

my whippled 588s have hyd roller cams 262/[email protected] with 650 lift, easy on the valve train and north of 1200 hp and 1100 ft pounds of torque.imo your heads are too small for 572 inch engine and will loose some higher rpm hp.

Yes to make maximum power the heads are a little small! But the check book is screaming already.

I can only imagine. You'll be fine. You mentioned chamber CC's but not intake runner CC's. If I had to guess I would say around 340 or so with the flow numbers you posted. Your cam will work well with heads at the rpm I would imagine you'd like to run at WOT. (Under 6k). I see do see where mike is coming from but... I'm trying to think back if it was smitty that did a 548 build or there close to it with a 315 head and made near 1,000 hp. Have to do a search, it was a few years back.

Mike was that a custom grind? Power plant.

Not sure where the intake runner ended up, Jim just let me know what they were flowing. Yes I think I will be setting the rev limiter at 6,000 at least on the dyno and maybe a touch lower in the boat depending on some more professional feedback. I am going to be adding stud girdles as well. Valve train stability is huge and once again shaft rockers are not going to be in the budget this go around. If they made a solid 1000hp I would be very excited with that!
