So BUP tell me how to get you these computers... the one on the port motor has issues for sure. The fuel pump runs on when key turned to on and that motor is lagging in RPMs from starboard motor. The higher up in the RPM range the bigger the difference.
Anyway, please advise. thanks |
I fixed this but he actually had more issues than just having the fuel pump staying on never shutting off.. He was in guardian mode at 70 percent available power and that was from issues motor side and other issues internally of the PCM. I can scan the pcm while its my hands at the desk. Then I can tell you everything including hours and fault history and current faults - and so on including internal issues of the PCM.
The 555 ecm and pcm are not even close as being robust like the MEFI ecms. Its not even close for quality and reliable against failures. The failure ratio is 25 to 1 -- PCM 555 / ecm 555 failures compared to MEFI MEFI computers have been in the boat world many more years in use and the failure rate is not even close. Again 25 to 1 the 555 failure rate compared to any MEFI. https://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/...cm-wanted.html |

Have any of you ever experienced this... boat is 2007 Baja 30 with twin 496 Mag HO's cruising along at about 60 (4000 rpms give or take) and port motor started to drop out for just a brief second. What happens is rpms drop to 0 and solid beep but just for a second then she's right back on. Of course this is quite noticable cause you feel the power loss. Just taking a long shot to see if anyone has had this happen.
Thanks in advance for any feedback. Brian I have a 2004 Baja 232 496 Mag with the same problem. Can I PM you? |
