I did but only for a short time to see what it sounded like and don't remember looking at the a/f. Lol I'll definitely try it this weekend and get some readings.

An update: I swapped turbos and nothing changed. Took it for a 30 mile ride yesterday and leaned on it pretty good. Seems the a/f gets closer with more flow. Unfortunately I only log one 02(limited inputs on ecu). Have the wg spring set at 4.5lbs for now. Got up to 7-8lbs with the boost controller but from 6000-7000rpm the boost dropped back to 5ish. Never had this problem with the single turbo but now running two 46mm gates which control boost well.

If it wasn't for issues everyone would do it right?

First problem is i have an oil leak coming from one of the threads on the block. Thought I fixed it yesterday afternoon but when I leaned on it oil pressure goes to 95ish. A little high for my liking but I have to drop the pan to get at oil pump and that requires pulling the engine or taking the k member off which I'm not doing now. Trying to fix leak still.

Second after the 3 hard pulls back to back I pulled over to check everything under the hood. One header/turbo flange read 600 degrees(the side with the extra 90 degree bend) and the other read 300 degrees. This was after a short drive and at idle. 2 header tubes read hotter than the other 6, 400 degrees vs 200-250. The 2 hot tubes were one on one side and one on the other. Not sure what's going on there. Pulled plugs and they all looked close to the same. Going to have someone with more experience look at them for me. Ordered new plugs tonight, different brand and heat range and see if anything changes on the heat of the headers. If nothing charges going to swap those 2 fuel injectors with 2 cooler running cylinders to set if anything changes.

Next issue, manual valve body automatic transmission was stuck in first gear. From stop sign I couldn't move shifter out of first. Luckily I was about 2 miles from home. Thought it might have been a shifter problem, Nope. Found out transmission is stuck in first gear. Dropped pan but couldn't get it to move to second. Didn't want to force anything. Transmission was just refreshed. It has been flawless for the last 11 years. Going to call transmission shop first thing in the morning. He had been great to work with. Hopefully I don't have to remove transmission. Keeping my fingers crossed it is something in the valve body.

So that's the update for now. Stay tuned!!!!

Spark plugs shouldn't do anything for exhaust temp unless it's detonating. Rock auto has plugs very cheap. What cylinders look hotter? Sucks your having problems. How did the ground straps look on the plugs? What heat range.btw what is the fireing order? Of the camshaft?

I know the plugs won't change the exhaust temp. Just trying something different. 2 and 8 were the hottest at idle. I was told today not to worry about it as it is not accurate. Need 8 egt's to be accurate. Firing order is 13726548. The 2 hotter cylinders are 180 apart. I was wondering about that. Camshaft same firing order. I did verify when I was adjusting lash.

Spoke to tranny guy this morning. Of course he said I never seen that before. Luckily I can just bring him the valve body to look at without dropping the tranny.

I'm off to remove valve body now.

if you can't find anything else wrong just pin out the injector plug to the ecu make sure there not switched might get those cylinders hot out of injector timing. And double check ecu selected firing order. I think I ran out of ideas for you. One more thing you can get temp sticks up to 2500 might help for your tune up.

I appreciate all your help!!!

Ecu and harness has been in car for last 11 years. I can double check firing to make sure. Each injector had a different color wire. I can verify. Really no way it was switched when I made the harness but good idea on checking.

Also want to check to make sure each cylinder is firing at the right time. Going to mark the balancer and check with timing light, fast and easy. I know I degree or 2 wont change the exhaust temp but I always wanted to check.

The jet hot coating turned colors right after the collector to just before the turbo collector at the bends which is normal. All the cylinder tubes look almost like new, so I don't think there are any really hot cylinders. Timing and a/f should have been more than safe. I should have got the 2500 degree coating lol Jet Hot said to try it and if it doesn't work send it back and they will recoat which highest coating and pay the difference. I didn't like the look of the coating. I might have to send back over the winter, I'll see how it holds up. I'll look up that heat tape.

Still want to install pressure gauge in collector.

It could be worse, it could be a twin or triple engine boat!!!
