I've got a couple of lots over on tip. There's gotta be a member over there who would be willing to give you a hand. There's nothing to it. If you were closer and wanted to haul it to the NW side I'd do it for a 12 pack. Always willing to help another OSO member when able.

I believe so unless it will hinge back far enough without hitting railing etc. My spectra I could flip all the way back without issues. PM endevour32 when you get a chance. He had engines in and out of his 242 and can let you know the good, bad and uglies.

With an ibeam you'd be able to just lift and pull engine to side without removing hatch.

On my F223LS I remove the exhaust, lift the engine a few inches, turn it 90 degrees and lift out of the bilge. Don't have to remove the hatch that way. One man job with a gantry.

I bought the boat with a bum engine and paid a shop to swap it. The second time I yanked it myself.

i did many R&R myself and sometimes an hour is enough to take it out and sometimes, you wrestle down the bilge to reinstall when it went easy the last couple times you did it...sometimes the long bolts in the back don't find their way in, sometimes the exhaust wont fit in the diverter for silent choice with upper exhaust... then you drop the nut or washer in the bilge, or you strip a nut, or a tool you can't reach back...

but again, sometimes it is a piece of cake! and 2 hours total is enough !!! Love boating !
