You get a bum starter once in a while? Buy new not rebuilt worth a shot? Good luck

Well there was two things changed starter and ring gear. By the looks of the broken teeth the ring gear was overheated or possibly defective. Not saying there was no other problem with the starter but the teeth sheared of past engagement and the metal looks like cast on how it broke. Just looking at it from another angle. |
