Default Need Help To Id Block

Its a 454 I found and want to know if its worth getting into i jotted down these numbers 14015445 gm 3p c219 of the rear of the block and there was a # on the front on top of the timing small# hard to see think its 104069 X1 . The intake manifold # is 6269318 if that helps anything. Want to know if its a 420horse mag. of 330horse.??? any input is greatly appreciated.

If the intake is a low rise cast iron piece then the engine is definately a 330 454 (sometimes they called the 330 a mag motor). If it has a high rise aluminum intake and rectangular ports, then it's a 454mag (or better). If it's an original merc motor, there will be a tag rivited to the bellhousing down by the starter. The serial number will tell what it originally was.

When you say bellhousing, is that part of the block or is it a separate piece? I'm not being a smart ass, the police want to destroy my motors because a Merc SR# tag was removed from an area near the starter.
