Default Oil Temp Sender Location

Gen VI Dart block - I moved my Oil Temp sender to the plug at the rear top of the motor. It's now reading low oil temp there (110). Is this a bad spot for the sender. I did read not to install it in a dead ended location.

Mines on the oil filter mount. Runs high though but think its the senders. When I shoot it with the temp gun its always sitting within reasonable range.

you should be measuring that oil temperature in the pan , but thats not always the easiest place to get to.

and you put in a dead end spot, oil pressure sender is fine there, oil temp sender needs to be in the oil flow before the cooler.
