I believe a left hand rotation uses the weaker supported gear in the upper housing. LH drives have been known to wear out fast than a left on twin engine boats. I switched to LH, changed the cable at the shifter and run a billet cooled top cap to better support the gear set.

+2 on the drive shower. It came with my boat when I bought it. I switched to a LH rotation as well. No issues
I read up on the forums and called mercury as well before I did it. I also am easy on my drive coming on plane.

RDY- I'm not a prop expert but, from what i understand and some folks i spoke with that actually use LH props say you pickup a little MPH.

Others say there boats handle a little different with the counter rotation.

In my personal experience I haven't actually swapped RH/LH, same pitch, weight, fuel etc to actually see if there was a difference. Handling wise i notice no difference.

Honestly after researching this myself and calling mercury I was looking for a RH 28P bravo. I found a used LH cheaper and bought that one.

On a single, a LH prop offsets the engine torque and improves high speed handling.

If you have the LH already just try it. If you never try it you will never know. As stated earlier, a lot of people use a left to offset the rotation of the engine at higher RPM.
