did you check the lifter bore and body clearance before installing them.

I would say either faulty part or problem with setup. 10 hrs is an awfully fast failure and usually points to setup from what I’ve seen.

One thing I would do is turn the motor a few revolutions make shure the tie bars don't bind the set that I had here where not bent rite. And also look at where the buttons rub the bars see if there is heavy rubbing on just one side.

Have to wonder how much metallic is embedded in the piston skirts, and how scored the cylinder walls may be.
