There are all sorts of "boat speed calculators" out there that take into account prop pitch, outdrive ratio, rpm, slip, etc. At some point it is all a math model. Figuring 10% slip and a 1.50:1 outdrive ratio, here's the speeds @ 5000 rpm according to one of them:
- 21" prop = 59.7
- 22" = 62.5
- 23" = 65.3
- 24"= 68.2
- 25" = 71.0
- 26" = 73.9

These are the same numbers i got but I also read these hulls have strakes that slow the boat and makes it hard to get pas 64 mph without heavy mods. This is the wrong tim eof year to just be getting the engine in the boat. Too dang cold to get it out and run it. Waiting for a decent weekend.

I don't believe strakes will slow you down, hook and weight will for sure. Strakes help lift the boat out of the water, downside is they are a flat surface which can make for rough impact with the water on re-entry.
I had REV4's on my 233, the hole shot was amazing.
