Converting my twin sbc stinger to single 502 bbc with bravo one drive. Now it is time to set the X-dimension. Several persons has succested 17.5". Hull has 24° V, no notch. Want to use 4blade props.

17.5 is a really nice all around x dim. You get the benefits of a raised x without the drawbacks. it should plane easily with a 4 blade.

17.5 should work fine. It will put the propshaft about 4" below the bottom.

There is already one with stock 496ho 425hp, 60mph everyday with 14.7" x-dimension, bravo 1x. I think it is nice result for engine that has 100hp less than stock twin sbc. Second boat that i know is with 500hp 454. Unknown X, 68mph.

Finally have time to start the transom/stringer modifications. One thing came in to my mind, local outboard guys installs their outboards little bit off the centerline of V to reduce chinewalk How it is with inboards, should i do the same?
