that intake would be nice for an under hatch twin turbo system.:D

I used an Edelbrock Pro-Flo years ago on a Monte SS. It was awesome, improved fuel economy 50%, improved idle, performance gain was way more than expected. The new units are so much better.

I just put a sniper on a 450hp 454 and it has been perfect. Fired immediately and fine tuning with the Holley software is super easy. No problems with the O2 sensor, But I recommend getting the innovate motorsports extension on amazon if you have a wet exhaust.
The only issue I had is the engine wanted to stall when dogging into gear, but messing with IAC settings fixed that. |

What additional parts did you have to purchase for installation? Total cost for complete system? Thanks

Thank you for sharing.
New boat is coming and not sure what to do. Put $$ into updating stock EFI or going with Sniper. Weighing my options and that really helps.. |
Not looking to get off topic, but I have also worked with a few guys lately running supercharged LS setups with factory GM ECM's in go fast and air boat setups. I prefer this approach on the diesels since option B starts at around 15k for a good Bosch controller and harness. But no reason a factory GM E38, E67, or E92 won't work just as good on the gas engines in stand alone mode.
Matching reluctor rings count is hardest part. If you know someone good with HP Tuners or EFIlve software, you can probably pick up a complete GM harness, coil packs, and ECM for a couple hundred bucks in the bone yard. Have less than $600 in whole running and tuned system if ya already have injectors. With the air boat crowd, I see about 50/50 between factory GM and Holley EFI builds these days. |

Just my opinion, but I've run Edelbrock EFI and Holley EFI and there's no comparison in my experience. The Holley is vastly, vastly superior.
What did you not like about the Edlebrock EFI? |

"I built a 509 w a proflow front mounted tb, afr 300 heads, tuned it with mefi3 on dyno, made 695 hp in a glory pull. Didn't make great torque with its short runner length (620 ish), did have great BSFCS past 6000 rpms. I then put the edelbrock operating system on it and fought to make 660 hp, it leaves ALOT to be desired with no knock sensor and NO WINDOWS based tuning software, terrible breakpoints, Id never use their operating system in a boat again. I do LOVE the intake though!" |

I have no doubt that Edelbrock can be made to work. But I'm just so happy with all of the Holley systems that no matter what factor, I would always go Holley. Every time I've installed a Holley system, as long as I do my part with quality wiring, it fires right up, tunes itself well enough, I make some adjustments and specifications and done deal. Runs like a top. |

A few different things. For one, their tuning system is a joke compared to Holley EFI. The "tablet" that they supplied me with to use with it was wireless and wouldn't work half the time (And I'm quite tech savvy). It was installed on a 427 BBC with a hot cam, nothing too crazy, and the car never ran great. The "learning" function does much more harm than good. Plus, the tech support at Holley is unmatched.

Ok so a mild 454 /671 build with the single 4500 sniper, Dry exhaust with O2s and thermostats should be a piece off cake right? and does any one make a link cable and software to plug the Holley into the Garman ?
