Default Transom assembly torque specs.

Does anyone have torque specs for a Bravo Transom assembly? Getting ready to bolt mine on and want to make sure I'm not over tightening them.

Buck

I'm not sure that it is. I could be reading it wrong too.

Looking for torque specs on the main bolts that go through the transom and mouth the assembly to the transom. Should be 8, 1/2" diameter bolts.

Careful with the torque. My buddy has a 2006 Formula 330 SS and when we replaced the transom assembly I torqued it down in 3 steps. When I got to 15 Lb ft the lower part around the inner plate cracked. I think the inner part of the transom in that area was not flat.

Before installing, I recommend taking a straight edge and place it on the transom. Check for flatness all the way around (I.e. horizontally, vertically, etc.)

when torquing, go slow and work your way around incrementally. Monitor for plate deflection. If you notice any back off and figure out why it’s deflecting.
