Thanks, I have old cutler systems. They were hard plumbed similar to what I am doing. I'm using larger fuel rails -8 vs -6, larger regulator and my fittings are just really large to fit in the same footprint using the same fuel schematic.

? I was thinking like this. In theory it should be no different than what I was trying to accomplish. Also the route that I have in the above pics will work, it just looks a little sloppy.

You cant put a spacer on the boss where the rail mounts instead of using an L bracket ? or do the holes not line up

They are on my printer now and should be complete by the time I get out of the shower.
Also, no additional holes have been drilled yet.

For what it's worth, this is how I plumbed my EFI. Had similar situation to you getting around the distributor. Also, I ended up putting the regulator directly on the even side fuel rail (easy plumbing the return line) and then I just plumbed the odd side fuel rail with line coming off the pump & filter.
