1/2 and 9/16 allen wrenches.
Great tip. Mine unfortunately needed a 14mm. Not sure how difficult it would be to find that, but great idea none the less. Thanks

I have 1997 model year 502's so by reading your post you think they will fit better.
I am just looking to replace the cast iron manifolds with something newer and better but I don't want to open up a can a worms. The boat is all stock and very dependable and I don't want to sacrifice that.
Hope you get your install figured out.
Post up a pic of your engine please. Would prob be able to see any fitment issues just by looking. As i wrote before, no problem with the 7.4L in my Bryant. This boat, need to move some things around.

That's actually a real simple idea. I would need to reroute the hose to the oil cooler, but that's to be expected. Thanks

There is not a lot of room and I was hoping to keep every thing in the stock locations.

You might need to modify the out drive reservoir location, but the oil filter locations would prob fit with the relocation brackets.

Here's how it mounted up on my 7.4L

I'd go with stainless marine too, but, the cost of it is almost double. You can almost get 2 sets of Seaward for the 1 set of SS. And dam, those are purty...

A 14mm headed bolt is as common as a 9/16” headed bolt.

I got a couple of seasons out of a set that I flush religiously every day of use. They have the saltwater treatment and all. They sprung a leak out of the starboard manifold that shot straight out a burst of water. Thank god I noticed at idle. I was incredibly disappointed. I had hoped they were the wholly grail but not the case.

Which brand did you have?
