Used Amsoil Marine for years with no clutch issues. Severe Gear is another story.

Lol,
I was asking so we compare buying from NEO, AADS, Amazon, or anywhere else.

product cost + shipping cost = total cost.

Total cost is what I look at.

2 years on drive lube??? I change mine twice per season.

If you want your drive to live as long as possible than you need to be using NEO. I have 2 years on the oil in my drive and it's still clear. I was nervous about running gear lube that long especially the way I drive, so I check it regularly and magnets are clean and oil is clear. Transmission shifts like a dream.

Overkill. Wasting money at twice / season if using a good oil. Unless you put on 200 hrs each year.

Maybe. But merc recommends it. Plus, how will you know that you've got water in the drive until you drain it?? I'd rather know at 25 hours vs 200 hours!

MAINTENANCE
DRY SUMP SIX DRIVE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Initial break‑in at 25 hours. Drive ‑ Change Oil and filter

Every 50 hours of operation. Perform 25 Hour Maintenance Items.

Gotcha.
I didn't realize you have #6's. I'm not familiar with the maint requirements on yours.
