My original setup was bullet proof except no retract. If Bennett would offer to give me auto retract and some cash I would give them the pro back. The retract when turning off was the reason to get it anyway.

Bummer, sorry to hear you guys are having so much trouble, totally sucks when expensive gear gives you problems. Especially sucks when support can't fix the problems no matter how much time you waste. I've been looking into other options and I've found a few that are a bit more money but they seem to be very reliable. I emailed Bennett yesterday, hopefully I hear back and they have fixed the problems but I doubt it considering all the people who have spent the money and still don't have them working. I'll report back.
