Pad bottom 26' (that boat has a couple feet in swim platform and a foot in "beak") I think 500HP puts it in the low to mid 70's

Thank you for the reply. I guess that’s true about the swim platform, and the beak. It does stick out pretty far lol. I’m not sure about the padded bottom. I’ll have to get under there and look at that. Not sure it has that. I know the transome is knoched.

Okay so I got under the boat and looks like it might have some kind of a wider place in the center maybe about 17 inches wide. But still comes to a slight V in the center of it. Does that mean it has a padded bottom?

Yes that is a pad.

As for the beak, last I checked go fast boats all rise at a angle to the bow, none of them have this. So should we start subtracting the bow angle from all boats?

A friend has an 06, 29 Fever,,step bottom,, w/ a single 525 EFI,,26 pitch prop,,runs 74- 76 mph,,a smooth bottom would be a bit slower.

Absolutely not - just bow pulpits! I don't know how Fountain got that approved without a railing.
