With a Bravo 1, which ratio is better? 1.5 or 1.36? Thanks, 88

It is not a matter of which one is better, it is which one is right for your combination. Most of us use the 1.50 ratio. The 1.36 ratio is for guys who are running big enough power to be able to turn a prop with that low a ratio. The lower ratio will cut down engine r.p.m. , but you need to have enough power to do that. It can be best equated to driving around your car in 4th gear rather than shifting up through the gears.
