UPDATE
I think I found the issue
I tried to upload pics for everyone but the website won’t let me due to “you must have 10 posts to attach pictures”
The verdict IS
the 3 posts on the tach are
ground
ignition
SIGNAL
I think I have my the ignition (purple) and signal (gray) wires swapped
if this is the problem i hope you all get a good laugh
At 23 years old I still have plenty to learn - I’ll take this as lesson learned if it is the problem
going out to rewire now - I’ll keep you all posted
