While the 8.1 and 8.2 are internally different due to bore and stroke, they are identical on the outside. So you can easily bolt one in place of the other.

Yep. Y’all were right. Right above the lifters it has 4” cracks all over it.

It’s trashed.

figured as much. as I said before I have a customer with two. one is fresh rebuild long block with intake that is still on my engine stand. he wants $5500 for it I believe. the other was running when pulled but I know nothing else about it. wants $2800 for that one. they were PCM inboards with transmissions originally but he had them in a bravo boat. anyone who want pics or info on the rebuilt one can contact me or for the other I can get you his phone number.
