This is what I have always used on gen6 engines. There is no reason to deviate from them.

Yup, that’s a kit (

Chevrolet Performance 12371056)

which includes:
This kit includes 16 of P/N 17120061 roller tappet, 8 of P/N 12551397 tappet guides, one of P/N 12551399 tappet guide retainer, and four of P/N 9440224 retainer bolts

Gm#17120961 are delco #HL122

Same lifters Speedy, Sonics, and some others have mentioned.

:) thumbs

What is recommended for a GEN V block? Planning on an inspection of my valve train this winter.

you can say the same thing on some of the tie-bar lifters, rivets snapping off, body failure go that route and it changes all the valve train geometry, different push rods and so on

FWIW
Speedy linked a GM #17120060 Delco H121.
That kit contains GM #17120061 Delco H122.

This note accompanies that kit.
• For single-service replacement lifter, use P/N 17120061
NOTE: These lifters allow more oil to the rocker arms than
the late-model truck roller lifters.
