Default Roller Lifters

Looking for some input here from engine gurus on replacement roller lifters. When replacing roller lifters in a Gen VI motor, what are your preferences? A lot of pretty parts out there, but a lot are imports and do not hold up and contribute to trashed motors. Pulling top end off in the next week or 2 and inspecting lifter, springs etc for wear. I've even heard of bushing rollers, instead of needle bearing and wonder what is preferred or what you are using that holds up.

Been following that post. It is long and drifted off to fuel ratio and away from the failing lifter, which is where it started. Lifters were part of the chain of events, but I caught that the fuel ratio started the meltdown and then everything else followed suit.

His spring pressures are also way too high for a hydraulic roller.
Imop that had a lot more to do with his lifter failure than other factors.

I don't know yet. I have not opened up the engines past the valve covers. They are GenVI HP500's.

Johnson has a dog bone replacement lifter. Just by design, I find them more reliable when they fit the application.

Assuming my day does not go to (TIHS) tomorrow like the past several days. I will get the intakes off and take a look. Also working on rear brakes on my 32 Ford Street Rod. Which has also become a major pita.
