all the best new products are invented in a ratty pole barn in a dirt parking lot behind an auto repair shop by a guy who screams at customers who dare ask for their untouched engines back after sitting in a pile for four months.

He invented Boostane with offshore boaters in mind to help with the poor quality of gas you might get at a marina or gas station---it works in other gas engines too, even snowmobiles. Kieth Eickert even endorses Boostane on his website if that means anything.

Dave was a World Class throttle-man in the offshore racing circuit since the 1990's designs and builds some very sophisticated marine hi-perf engines.
Well your claims made me Google it.
I'm no Wesseldyk cheerleader or critic.
But the only association I can find in print associating Wesseldyk to Boostane is in this thread below.
The link takes you to post # 44 appearing to be the founder and one of the engineers. His profile in second link.

Anyone usung octane booster in their 1,350's?

Wesseldyk did post in reply #35 (quoted below) of that thread where by his wording he does appear to take credit for the product.
Is Ian part of the team?
Or was the "team" Ians?

We all know 93 is not available at most fuel docks and the one thing we all are looking for is to have the availability of high octane fuel anywhere.

Now you know why we have developed BOOSTane and now you know my credentials.

Ian is a very talented hard working young man and a very important part of our team. If you want to attack someone direct it at me.

If you have any questions you can call me at my shop 616-662-2250 any time.

Didn’t quite find who his dad is yet, but found this quick search :
When Lehn and Boostane’s business development manager Anthony Caputo were in college at Georgia Tech, the two were racing offshore powerboats. One of the challenges was finding fuel with enough octane for the twin supercharged big-block Chevrolet engines in their 46-foot catamaran. They also had to deal with transporting race fuel in 55-gallon drums and getting them down to the dock to refuel the boat.”
