Default 700 sci top end help

Hey guys,

‘My 700sci’s are at 260 hours and i am preparing to change the springs, retainers, rockers etc..

my question is it required I do a valve job plus head work (machining, resurfacing etc) or can I just change the components without going to the machine shop.

Thanks

What do compression and leak-down tests look like? That will tell you a lot.

Reach out to Snapmorgan here on OSO, I believe he was running 700 sci's. Very knowledgeable about them.

if the valves don't leak,,no signs of reversion,,then just do springs, seals and if you like rockers
