how to remove and re install an injector on a motor? Simply pull hard enough till it pops out?
any seal / rubber/ oring mandatory to change before putting it back in?
you want to twist all the injectors on that side back-and-forth so you can break the seals loose , sometimes spraying carb clean at the bottom and top of injectors to get to the seal helps, but you definitely want to twist them loose and pull up evenly so all four injectors on that side come up,

and yes top and bottom seals need to be replaced

Taking them out is pretty hard to screw up - just be mindful of not damaging the electrical connector on the injector. The real reason that I am responding is to report a little issue I had on the reinstall. I had a leaker (or two) because of the factory powder coat (or coating) on the fuel rail was thick enough in the injector bore that it prevented the injector O ring from sealing correctly. I carefully chipped off the coating in the injector hole with an exacto knife and everything sealed as it should. This probably applies to just the black efi/mpi motors. Steve/Smitty/Arctic explained to me that these motors are coated after assembly and thats why they didn't leak beforehand. I must say that Smitty is a great guy to send your injectors to. He gets all the flow numbers and recommends the best cylinder for the injectors flowing a little higher or lower. The motor has never run better, so the injectors were most likely in need of servicing /cleaning/flowing. I'll be sure to send them to him again in 20 years haha!
