Taking them out is pretty hard to screw up - just be mindful of not damaging the electrical connector on the injector. The real reason that I am responding is to report a little issue I had on the reinstall. I had a leaker (or two) because of the factory powder coat (or coating) on the fuel rail was thick enough in the injector bore that it prevented the injector O ring from sealing correctly. I carefully chipped off the coating in the injector hole with an exacto knife and everything sealed as it should. This probably applies to just the black efi/mpi motors. Steve/Smitty/Arctic explained to me that these motors are coated after assembly and thats why they didn't leak beforehand. I must say that Smitty is a great guy to send your injectors to. He gets all the flow numbers and recommends the best cylinder for the injectors flowing a little higher or lower. The motor has never run better, so the injectors were most likely in need of servicing /cleaning/flowing. I'll be sure to send them to him again in 20 years haha!
