Default 496 HO IAC valve broken

HI guys, i hope someone can help me,
last week i was in the marina idling the engine whit the hatch open, i noticed a noise like a coin inside of a metal can. 2 minutes later a double beep starts to sound from the vesselview, IAC valve sensor.
so, I take a look of the valve and i notice the top was all melted, so i order a new one, when i was replacing the valve i notice that a part of the valve (the lower pin and the screw were missing) so that was the noise! so now the question is where is the pin and the spring?? i dint remove the little piece where the IAC valve sits, cause i want to be sure where look. the noise was coming like from the throttle body. i can't be sure.
it is possible the pin and the spring runs through the hose from the IAC valve to the intake manifold?
someone knows where can be the parts missing?? why i hear the noise of the parts moving inside???
please HELPPPPP!!!!!!!
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

i m looking online, some iac have the pin, and some not.
mine is original mercruiser because it has the part number stamped. this one is supposed to have the pin and the spring... and it is not in the valve.!

It falls out sometimes. Just replace the whole IAC. They don't last forever anyhow.

Hi, thanks for your answer, yes definitely I'm replacing the whole IAC, i just got the new one OEM. my concern is where inside of the engine is the pin and the spring missing from the one is broken...? if i remove the little manifold ( number 43 on the diagram) do you think i going to be able to find the little parts?? (Pin and spring)
before starts the double alarm on the vesselview i was hearing a noise, (sure it was the little parts dancing inside of the throttle body or intake manifold!
i don't want to run the engine until I find those little parts!!!
any idea??????
Thanks

Yes!!!! I notice the oem valve has an pin and spring in the lower part... when i remove the one in the engine the pin and spring are missing .. and i can hear when the engine was idling some parts inside... like if you put a couple of coins inside of a coke can...

The IAC PULLS air from the TB when it opens. You can check the hose but the spring and pintle are likely in your intake. You will find out when u replace the IAC. Check your electrical connector to the IAC. If the IAC melted it could be burnt as well.

THANKS, ALOT FOR YOUR ANSWER! yes, you are right, the connector is melted and very hard to remove from the valve. i need to replace it, by any chance someone knows the connector part number?? or it can be found in AutoZone, for valve is the same??
going back to the parts missing... i ll remove the little manifold (number 43 on the diagram) to see if i can get the spring and the pintle.
if not, the next step is removing the intake manifold???
