Cleaned it up and sure enough its JUNK! From the looks of that condition I doubt it had enough season left in it and only reason it lasted it the boat doesnt get run alot through the season and WOT is rare. But the new increased HP would shred that almost immediatly!

I never have seen a coupler that bad, not including blown up ones of course. Damn !

The difference between the pics of that coupler clean and dirty are unreal.

I know when I looked at it first hand it didnt really jump out at me as too bad but when I wiped it off last night I was like OH BOY that's JUNK! Ordered a new one this morning.
