If it was me I’d call Tyler Crockett and see if he has a set of 088’s then go from there.

Wow, I must be really lucky. I have a set of AFR 315's that I bought bare in 2011 and had good parts put in. I boat in Lake Huron and have open cooling and I pull the intake every couple of seasons to check what I can and the heads are still pretty much new.

my afr heads have held up well as far as corrosion, the edelbrocksI've seen , even ones that were ran in fresh water didnt look so great but again, dart and afr both state "a356-t6" alloy, edelbrock just says "aluminum". The one freshwater only set I redid on a 540 had moderate corrosion that had crept around the water passages where cooling holes are and had to be surfaced to get to better metal and even then, the holes still had rot at least 20% bigger then actual hole. The 2 sets off a closed cooling boat I'm redoing right now have no rot but pretty sure owner ran glycol mix. He's on here and might comment, smitty

here's a set of edelbrock marine heads off a 509 I'm rebuilding for a guy from east coast right now. Their special "hard anodizing" didn't hold up too well, says he flushed it all the time, not sure if he used dawn dish soap or salt away but either way, not fixable, Smitty
My friends fresh water edelbrocks were about 1/3rd as bad as these fwiw

Last I spoke to Ron Sporl he had quite a few new bare Eagle Iron heads in stock. He can also do the finished product he has all parts in house and machining equipment.
He has finished his move from Bessemer, AL to New Orleans, LA. Also a member here. His prices were quite reasonable IMHO.
Good luck

In the closed cooling? IDK, I would assume if a guy has closed cooling and put a coolant mix in, he left it come winter but again, those heads look fine.

Im building a 515 right now for a 27 fountain, recently my customer bought a set of turn key Brodix dragon slayers, nice inconel valves, good springs etc under 3000$ from Ron Sporl so I get impression he keeps quite alot of parts on hand. 99% sure that casting is Chinese, theres nothing I saw that I didnt like though other then both sets of rocker stud holes are shallow. Coincidentally , the engine the rotted edelbrocks in my above pics is getting Canfield and they are 95% identical to the Brodix dragon slayers, even use the same arp bolt kit, my guess is they were originally cast at some place far, far away!
ron sporl has graciuosly informed us the brodix castings ARE made in the US so ignore my guess above!
