What is up with all the 12v+ posts going on?

Speaking of the oil thermostat, I'm going to replace mine, the spring, and the O ring because of age. But holy crap, $65 for a thermostat? Dam..........

I finally got an answer from my engine guy. He says with my HP, run the same one that came with the HP 500, but replace the one I have. Not worth risking thousands for a few hundred bucks.

I see OEM are discontinued. But Mr Cool has a replacement for $300 and Seakamp has one also for $365.

So that's the route I'm going.

The only thing that stinks is the replacement cooler still only has 1/2" NPT oil hose fittings. The performance coolers have 3/4" So you can install larger oil hose.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
