Looking at cams for 6.0 carb LS with rectangle port heads and lightning headers that I won't have to worry about water reversion. Is duration to much on this cam? I know evc is ideal.
228/230 duration @ .050"
.585" lift
112 lsa
EVC -1* ATDC
IVC 48* ABDC
IVO 6* BTDC
EVO 51* BBDC

issue is most of us don’t have LS i/o cam/exhaust hands on experience. So, on paper and bbc mindset, that cam sounds fine.
A bbc would be okay with that cam.
Also, small tid bit, Crane would state cams with less than 8* degrees overlap at .050” okay with wet exhaust. They referenced BBC’s though.
We also know heads with good exhaust ports revert with less cam duration than poor OE exhaust ports.
Some lightning exhaust talk on a 408”la with more cam:
Another reversion thread.
