Default Need Stale Gas Pumped Out

Hi everyone!

wow! It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here regularly. For any number of reasons I ended up having to offload my ‘’94 Sunsation ‘32 about a decade ago.

Of course you just NEVER get these damn things out of your blood…no matter what anyone says.

Anyway….this really has nothing to with me…but with my father-in-law. He has a ‘29 run-around boat. Nothing sexy…just a Chevy 350 with an Alpha drive and cuddy cabin. It’s been sitting unused for at
least the last 4 years. Among the many things I’ve told him will need to get squared away before I’d take it in the water again is his gas tank.

He has about 40-60 gallons of old gas left in the tank. Hes already sent the stock Holly off for rebuild but he can’t find anyone anywhere local that will pump out and dispose of the stalls gas for him.

is there anyone who knows of anyone in Southeast Michigan (Macomb, Oakland, Wayne counties etc) that could/will pump old gas out and dispose of?

You probably won't find anyone to do it due to the hazardous waste disposal fees. Get a 55gallon drum and a cheap electric fuel pump and empty it yourself. Makes great weed killer.

He’s got two pumps ready to go and working on a 55 drum. Hard to believe there’s no shop around that will handle it. Will suggest the “weed killer” option…doubting he’d be overly opposed to it….but any other ideas are welcome. appreciate the reply…..as much misery as it brought me….I so miss the good times on that old ‘32 I had….again…I think that once in…you never get them out of your blood. Lol.

I did what Smitty did when I got some bad gas in LOTO , use it for starting fires .. 2 years later it doesnt even burn anymore .
Still pisses me off that some A hole kept gas in their tanks too long and sold me basically laquer which killed 2 engines.

I'm surprised that resort/gas dock is still in business. I'm also surprised it didn't mysteriously burn to the ground shortly after they boned you.

USA Fuel Services

usafuelservice.com

I used a guy Jim Tibble - out of Sandusky, OH area. Real good service. Will clean tanks, and also fill tanks with AV gas if you ask them to.
