Default fresh water flush kit anyone try this one

https://www.westmarine.com/perko-flu...xoCzkYQAvD_BwE

I have an old fresh water flush kit on my mercruiser 502 in my 96 Baja 252. I just got the fresh 509 fired yesterday and when testing it on the kit I saw it started leaking. does anyone know the intake hose size to the sea pump? I think its 1.25" but I want to order the kit today and I forgot to measure the hose Dia.

I heard mixed reviews about that perko flush device, but haven't heard anything negative about the Eddie marine kit yet:

Might be worth the few extra bucks

I was skeptical on the check valve of the Perko. I know there reason is so you dont push it out the drive when the engine is not running but the eddie marine kit doesn't have a check at all. I can make that eddie marine kit alot cheaper than that I may just do that. My boat already had the garden hose flange connection I just need the Tee, only thing I do not like is thats alot of weight hanging off the transom barb if you do not support it. 1.25" brass ball valve is not light plus a metal tee and 2 fittings.

I also remember some having issues with the Perko flush kit, and there have been threads here on OSO such as: Perko flush pro

But I also believe I have read at some point that Perko has made improvements, but not sure if that is true.

I got rid of my Perko's after reading of failures and went with brass 3 way valves inline between the transom and raw water pump. Kept the Perko hose hook up and hose to the flush valve.
